About the job
The Clinical Educator, a key member of the Quality and Education team, is responsible for developing, assisting with, and coordinating educational initiatives across various care delivery models. This role supports the implementation of new contracts and the provision of education, working collaboratively with the Quality and Education team and Care Team members across departments to ensure seamless care and education delivery.
This is a remote position.
What you’ll do
- Designs, delivers and assesses learning activities and curricula related to clinical competencies, departmental/organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and the use of clinical information technologies, including CHAP accreditation requirements.
- Serves as a consultant/mentor for clinical staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new clinical staff orientation and education activities.
- Collaborates with managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of clinical staff.
- Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and professional development of clinical staff.
- Utilize data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and track the effectiveness of education interventions.
Your experience and qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse license.
- Five years of experience in nursing is required.
- Two years of staff development, academic teaching, and /or project development coordination.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Strong understanding of clinical practices, quality improvement methodologies, and educational program development.
- Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills required.
- Must have general computer skills and a working knowledge of Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CHPN certification or equivalent
- One year Experience in hospice or palliative care
Compensation and benefits
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 annually, based on factors such as experience, skills, location, company needs, and market demands.
